Busting Excuses: Why you Deserve a Boudoir Experience

Busting Excuses

When we find ourselves feeling nervous or anxious, we often resort to making excuses. We create a laundry list of reasons not to love ourselves fully or take the time to care for our own well-being. Sometimes, life just feels overwhelmingly busy; we may be too caught up with projects at work that never seem to end, or perhaps we’re constantly ferrying someone somewhere—our friends, our kids, or even that one cousin who's always running late! Then there are times when we convince ourselves that spending precious moments with our spouse or partner takes precedence. We toss around excuses like, “I wanna lose 15 lbs first!” or “I just don’t have the money for that right now!” But I want to take a moment to emphasize this important message: No matter what excuse keeps popping into your head, you CAN absolutely overcome it! Let me help you realize that despite any excuses, you are always, without a doubt, worthy of self-love and appreciation!

“I don’t have enough time for myself”

It’s also important to remember that if you aren’t taking care of yourself mentally, you’re not going to be able to handle taking care of everyone else, which makes sense but is actually much harder said than done! Sometimes I am the WORST at making sure I am giving myself mental health breaks and that’s why I think its so important to share this with you all. I make the same excuses as above and sometimes I need someone to look me in the face and say, “SLOW DOWN, give yourself a break, breath for a minute!”.

During a boudoir photo session, you have the opportunity to breathe and appreciate yourself for a few hours. Imagine the energy you'll conserve daily by not comparing yourself to others or worrying about others' opinions of your appearance. You get to see where your beauty really comes from, and this lifts such a huge mental weight.

You need to take time for yourself, why not spend it having an amazing time and getting glammed up for once?

“I’m not where I want to be weight wise/ I don’t fit the media’s idea of a good enough size”

Did you know that the body type portrayed in advertising as the ideal is possessed naturally by only 5% of American females? ONLY FIVE PERCENT.

I’ll keep saying this: Why do you need to be a certain size to love yourself? Why must you match a stranger's idea of a perfect body to appreciate your own? Why compare your size to others when no two women are alike?

Having goals for health is great, but you don't need to dislike your body to achieve them. Love yourself through the journey. Be proud of who you are now so you can appreciate your progress later. Consider a boudoir shoot to celebrate your current self, and another when you reach your goal weight to honor how far you've come!

“I never feel sexy or sensual anymore so a boudoir shoot must not be for me”

WRONG.

This excuse is actually the EXACT reason you SHOULD do a boudoir shoot.

Life can make us lose connection with our femininity and sexuality due to health, kids, or work. This is common and perfectly fine! A boudoir shoot can help you rediscover that side of yourself. I can help you uncover that inner spark, which could even reignite passion with your partner!

You don’t have to wear super sexy outfits or lingerie. If that’s not your style, there are plenty of other options. I’m happy to discuss ideas with you, or you can look at our blog for outfit inspiration.

“A boudoir shoot is an investment, and I don’t have all the money right now.”

Yes, a boudoir shoot IS an investment. It is also an investment in yourself. You are investing in your well-being and confidence as well! We do offer pyament plans. In order to book your shoot, there is a booking retainer, and after that we can set up your payment plan for the remaining so that it might be easier to book a shoot! If you have any questions about your payment plans, please email us at BoudoirbabesICT@gmail.com or text us at 316.8371893
